Set in the rustic town of San Sebastian, the story revolves around the struggle of Eloisa Aguirre in providing her family a good living. due to unfavorable circumstances, Eloisa gets to meet Doña Hilaria Buenaventura and her four daughters-in-law who each crave for some piece of a comfortable life. While making herself busy in their family’s small piggery, Eloisa meets Lucio Aragon, the disinherited achiever working as a professor in Manila. Their interest in agriculture will make them closer and eventually develop feelings for each other.
